Julien Mier – Gradually (2025)

The latest album by Julien Mier, is a sonic journey that delves into the transitions of life, identity, and the blurred boundaries between art and personal growth. With a trilingual brain, Mier reflects on how language shifts have shaped his sense of self throughout his life and the music that he writes. Gradually is his exploration of shapelessness — an urge to break free from rigid musical genres and get closer to his most fundamental expression. The album is composed of nine tracks, each representing a distinct cultural and linguistic influence, all tied together by the theme of gradual evolution.

Julien Mier – Industries in the Trees (2019)

Industries In The Trees is an album inspired by the destruction of the environment and a kinetic energy that comes along with society and inventions. It’s a portrait of nature’s complex pattern and tries to craft a serene and melancholic scent in the chaotic twirling and rummaging landslide of organic and manmade objects.

To give the music a finite touch, it degrades in a cascade of eroding instruments and tiptoes between the electronic and acoustic manipulation of sounds. Melodies written in the digital realm are being transposed to real instruments and re-processed afterwards in the digital world where it currently sits. Collaborators on this records are Tim Fain (violinist of Philipp Glass) Floex (Tomas Dvorak) and Zoltan Fecso.

”Giants of the Earth” premiered on Adult Swim
